Cod: A Biography of the Fish That Changed the World
By Mark Kurlansky

Well, I started my new job at TCU today in the Journalism Department. I am a Mac Lab monitor on Sunday afternoons, and I admit it is alot of fun. However, while helping people with their petty errors with software and Mac OS navigation, I do feel alot like my favorite Jimmy Fallon character: Nick Burns-Company Computer Guy!
"Geeze, it's not my fault AOL doesn't understand Java Script..."
"Look, all you have to do is forcequit the current application and then all your problems will be solved and you won't lose what you are working on..."
"You just have to drag and drop on a Mac, it's not like those primative PCs..."

Yeah, so my nerd-dom has been elevated once more.

Waking Life

So yeah, we just watched the Waking Life in my philosophy and film class.  Dude, the topics of dreaming and existentialism that were exercised in the production were amazing.  To be honest my brain is a little overwhelmed right now and I also noticed that there is alot of homework to be done this semester, stupid intro level classes always picquing at my interest.  So I talked with mum and dad, and we should be able to swing Scotland this summer, and that will be a phenomenal experience, and not to mention 6 more hours of geology credit, so my minor will almost be complete.  Now if French were a little simpler for me, I would be set, but stupid West Brook lack of teaching for 2 years impacted my learning patterns a little bit.  Oh, and if anyone is interested in my path to Nerdvana (in this case beating 7th Saga a second time), my character is a Level 21 Tetujin (robot character) and he is teamed with a Level 18 Elf.

End.

The Breakfast Club (High School Reunion Collection)

Total Honesty, I watched Breakfast Club and I cried a little bit.  Something about the way the kids managed to continually get pissed off while discovering variousl characteristics about themselves that seem to be common traits that manifest in all people.  All in all another good talk/dialogue driven movie.  I don't think I could have directly related with any of the characters, but at the same time that experience in highschool would totally be worth it, and it could be made into a really good play.

Also lately both my mother and friends have been telling me I need to go out and date and stop sitting in my room and playing video games on Friday nights.  I guess that is a hint to go out into the world and start just meeting people and being fearless.  I have another semester of classes to try and wow people with my charm and see if I have any luck going to formals or various matters of the sort, but yeah, Philosophy & Film should be awesome.  I'm just rambling.  Congrats to UT, I wanted USC, but it was a good game all around, and UT outplayed them in the end.
